      Pros

      With decent seniority, you have high flexibility with shift bids and access to web-based trade board for schedule. I started when we were young, so seniority was my best friend.

      Cons

      You are a cog in a giant wheel, and unless you are young and on a mission to advance an airline career, you will not advance to high salaried positions. Cronyism for early-in buddies, and those who brown-nosed their way into whatever cushy position they have, keep the fine jobs few and far between.

      Pros

      While at JBU for training they talk about their five values . Training at JBU is ok . You have to pass all your exams if not you're sent home . You're not guaranteed a job if your seasonal part time . Some people left their jobs not knowing this .

      Cons

      Once assigned to your station those values disappear. A lot of favoritism. Some of the co workers don't want you there . A lot of trash talk of other airlines . A lot of sleeping on the job . On the job training is a joke . The liaisons don't properly train you . You need to catch on by observation. A lot improvement needed for on the job training. So if anyone in corporate see this please make some adjustments.

      Pros

      The Jetblue culture embraces the 5 core values. It's a great company to work for and the opportunities for advancement are plenty.

      Cons

      Hours are tough and does require some adjustment, particularly when you are on reserve. Weather can also play a role in how your day will go.
