Pros

Free or discount flights would be a perk but you barely get on as standby Pay at the corporate office is good, pay for airport employees is terrible Overtime - time and half after 40 hours Starting pay Oct 2023 CRC $30/ Scheduler $25 Pay to train others $2.50 per hour Graveyard shift pays $1 extra plus night differential 4 day a week schedule 40 hours *to make overtime you have to work a 15 hr day or work 5 days Great app to trade shifts to coworkers to pick up overtime On Boarding Process excellent Not Ghetto $200 debit card for meter parking

Cons

Micromanagement Operation center disorganized/dysfunctional Platforms used on a daily basis are old and complicated Coworkers and supervisors throw you under the bus constantly Too many exams during the initial probation and year to keep your job Rude Supervisors with 0 people skills Anytype of bad weather in any part of the country makes the operation go haywire CBA contract rules makes your job impossible sometimes

Pros

Flight perks? Also love my colleagues

Cons

Worked to the bone, been working two demanding roles for a year now since a colleague left and they never made backfilling a priority. My manager absolutely drains every last bit of gas in the tak from me, the asks are neverending and he has no issue with me constantly working late nights or weekends Pay is a joke, paid below market rate. Non negotiable "merit" increases of 1-3% when inflation is 8-9%, your increase is already in the system by the time you have your annual review. No bonuses or profit sharing. Extremely low budget for work travel, I feel like a college student with the allowance we get and there has been no increase to correspond with inflation. They claim they're too broke to take care of their employees yet somehow have $3.7B to buy spirit. My advise would be to find somewhere where you'll be paid what your worth and given a life outside work. Few direct paths to advancement except when someone above you leaves
