Good company with lots of potential but it needs to make some improvments.

Jacobs is on financial solid ground and is well diversified throughout the globe. Jacobs also takes the wellness and safety of every employee very serious and it backs up the talk with the dollars to ensure a healthy workplace.

Cons

Communication from highest levels does not filter to everyone. Company has had tremendous growth and needs to deal with growing bureaucracy. There is a sense of apathy in the employees that surrounds those things that everyone knows are not conducive to efficient business. The IT organization is in dire need of restructuring and leadership. Hopefully the new CIO will be able to turn this around.

The salaries in AEC firms are very good compared to typical A - architecture firms. Currently the location in cypress is convenient but we will be moving to santa ana shortly. Pretty decent people and the 401K has Vanguard as the carrier of mutual fund choices with low expense ratio with plenty of choices to choose from. This is appealing to me because at my last firm, the choices were not as many and the expense ratio was quite large in comparison. Also, this firm pays for people to train themselves and encourages professional development to complete the goals fo the individual.

Cons

This is a large firm and people have difficulty working at the top.
