Pros

The company has a good reputation in the industry. There are many learning opportunities. There is an emphasis on safety and the company provides pleasant working conditions. Friendly people and atmosphere.

Cons

The industry is up and down, with boom and bust cycles. It's difficult to move around within company and on to other projects.

Pros

Theres not many, the pay rate is competitive. their benefits are alright,

Cons

They are not a company that is concerned with employees and years of service means nothing to them. When their workload slows down they dont hesitate to layoff anybody that dont meet their imediate need. They layoff employees with 25 years service to their company and keep employees in the same position with only 2 years of service. being a dedicated employee in this company does not pay off in the long run, because that isnt taken into consideration when they need to cut cost. Your are just a number to them.

Pros

People are generally very nice and willing to help each other solve problems. You have access to fairly senior people on projects and there is a pretty informal structure to reporting in the company. People are generally pretty laid back, sometimes to a fault. Management does a good job of communicating the company's business model and targeting growth. People are awarded based on merit more than seniority.

Cons

The benefits are quite mediocre - medical and dental premiums are very expensive. Many folks are not always driven to go the extra mile. Internal processes are overly bureaucratic and can be frustrating at times.
