Pros

They do have flex schedule and depending on your supervisor they are good about time off if you have the PTO

Cons

After Jacobs bought TYBRIN everything went downhill. Management doesn't care about anyone but themselves and their bonus (most everyone else lost their bonus after the buyout). Management also lies all them time sends out e-mails telling everyone that things are great and nothing is changing but then they cut benefits, lay people off left and right with no severance if you are a direct bill they give a two week notice that you must work or you can't collect unemployment. Doesn't matter how many years you worked their they still only give you notice or 2 weeks severence. They are so concerned about cutting the G&A (so they can have more big bonuses) that the employees are the ones suffering, no new equipment or any tools to do their jobs or training. Management gets angry when they hear talk in the hallways about how unhappy people are but they don't find out why they hide up in their glass castle.

Pros

ESC contract is the engineering contract for NASA Johnson Space Center. If you are lucky, you get to work on pretty cool stuff. It is exciting and challenging with very interesting problems to solve. I really enjoy my time there. People are great and direct line manager is very flexible.

Cons

You can get stuck in a hole where you are too specialized to go anywhere else and your skills can sometimes become obselete. Old people with 1960's mentality sometimes, very hard for generation Y.
