Pros

They have great benefits and paid well compared to other companies. As a company I really enjoyed working for them. They tried to be as open as they could with regards to contract negotiations with the Government. I felt in an adverse environment they treated us with dignity and respect.

Cons

Government contract work is difficult for anyone trying to establish long term goals or make long term investments. We had gone from a yearly review of our contract to quarterly which put everyone on pins and needles. A really tough environment to work in and support a family when you are concerned about having a job every 3,6, or 12 months. This isn't really a critique against Jacobs, but of the Federal Government contract job life cycle.

I work at the Dow SCO site which is a great site to work at. You get to drive in and get a lot of OT.

Cons

No room to move up. Upper management is there to stay. Supervision is very poor. Lots of complacency. 75% of supervision has no experience in field they supervise. Buddy system
