Cons

Very poor benefits, poor management / leadership, close door policy. Incompetent managers, hire and fire policy and poor salaries. Moving up is very difficult.

Pros

Decent salary; great experience an a wide variety of projects; always opportunities for learning new things; strong emphasis on safety.

Cons

Most significantly is a lack of job security. It is a company in a very cyclical industry, so a loss of a project could mean that you are on "company convenience leave" at home without pay.

Pros

Exposure to a wide range of projects is possible when you are willing to travel and relocate. There are multiple opportunities to network with many experts in your field as colleagues. Opportunities for training while working on large projects. Work Schedule allows a half-day on Friday (most locations)

Cons

Business environment is very cyclical for certain industries. Risk of layoff if projects are slow coming in the door. Willingness to relocate is a requirement as one advances in the company.
