Pros

Good stepping stone to better careers Fair starting wage

Cons

Too global, so you are not very visible or comfortable (not the same benefits as the other companies working alongside you if contracting) Not user friendly when contracting at other places (for non-Jacobs office based employees) Having a tittle of assistant when being employed as project manager for the contracting company. So Jacobs get paid for filling a project manager position, but they only pay you for being an assistant. No support, or any senior project manager, not much interest in progressing you to the role you are working as. Awful IT service, which does not understand you and takes over 2 hours to do a simple task like update your password. 40 hour weeks with unpaid break. Flat rate overtime until 46 hours, 1.25 after that, which is much less than other companies working alongside you. Overtime must be pre-approved, so I ended up working a lot of free hours. Incompetent accounting department even with 2 time sheets being mandatory every week.
