Absolutely disgraceful organisation

Pros

Training opportunities and interesting research projects

Cons

Poor salary lower than market average. No salary increase for two and a half years and no interest from management to discusss pay. Throughout my three years I did not feel part of the team. The part of the organisation I worked for was characterised by a lack of management, no direction, and significant amounts of cronyism. The company’s website shows a modern image but my experience of the organisation is the exact opposite.

A great place to work at all levels

Pros

As others have mentioned, Ipsos has a very positive culture. I've never had problem getting help nor helping others in my turn. I feel very supported by my managers and senior leadership and am allowed to work in the style that best suits me so long as the work gets done. While it is a large global company and change can happen slowly, Ipsos is looking toward innovation and keeping on top of emerging trends in research.

Cons

As systems and processes are upgraded and new solutions are being offered it can sometimes be difficult to get the info you need about how to sell or execute on a specific product. There's some silo-ing between divisions of the company. Not that anybody is withholding information, but more that it's just not common to interact with other divisions even if they're working on the same accounts.

Ups and Downs

Pros

I worked with a great group of intelligent people. Ipsos is so large, there are lots of great things going on there, but because it is so large, you can be very stuck in only your area.

Cons

Management cares about growth of junior staff and moving people up, but then one you are at the higher levels, they don't care much about development.
