Pros

I guess working from home

Cons

I was employed at Ipsos for 8 months through an agency. Initially, it seemed alright, but the compensation is on the lower end, making it more suitable for short-term employment or a supplementary job. A benefit is its work-from-home model, saving you travel costs. The role, however, often involves cold calling, which can be challenging given the number of uninterested or sometimes irate respondents. While some campaigns are engaging, others tend to be lengthy and monotonous, with a mandated script that can frustrate both you and the caller. Regarding the team dynamics, some supervisors, despite their marginal pay difference, tend to exhibit a superiority complex. Their interruptions during live calls can be disorienting. Furthermore, during certain periods like last May, there were gaps in campaigns, leading to unexpected breaks in shifts. It's essential to understand that relying solely on this job can lead to unpredictability in income.

Pros

The field of work is good, but uses old school tools and methodology.

Cons

As I said they use old school methodology to do modeling. If you want to develop something Automated it won’t be supported by your manager or working buddy because they don’t know any programming language. You will be working for 9days in a week: Let me explain this, your normal working hours will be 8in a day, but here if you start at 10 in the morning your regular logging off time will be 01:00 am mid night and they will ask you to do the same thing every week, in weekofs also you will be working 10-14 hours. One girl from one of their team had a stroke and her right side got paralysed. Manager will use slang language in the floor and your one level up colleague will also use slang language in the floor to you and they will be very proud and will gossip that “I have given him.her slang”. Most Toxic work environment I have ever seen. And the head of those team doesn’t utter a word against them, because if they say a word, those managers can put down their paper. Here, you will not get your personal time, personal space, you will not get time to develop yourself (if you want to learn python, they will say you “what you will do after learning python? These skill development will not help you”) according to them work like a donkey and then you die they will not care. If you can become toxic like them then you will be in a good position, otherwise they will torture you in every possible ways. Worst company to work. People over there will always pull down every other company and work and will say “credit risk domain can stop in India anyday” like :D :D Salute to that person….!! Anyway be safe and away from IPSOS

Pros

Ipsos is a decent place to work right out of college. The pay is low but it's a decent resume builder.

Cons

I worked for an analytics division and the VP was the worst manager I've ever had. He always thought he was the smartest in the room and loved the sound of his own voice. He would not give his team the tools to succeed in their jobs, and then berate them for not doing exactly what he envisioned. Many in his team have since left and those who haven't are extremely unhappy. This was a recurring theme at Ipsos - employees would be slowly beat down by their managers until the they could no longer take it and leave. The turnover was, and continues to be, very high. I worked closely with another team whose managers looked down on the RAs, and did not seem to realize that the individuals they hired had graduate degrees and were actually very smart and capable. We were relegated to doing mundane, brainless tasks every day. Any initiatives to improve these tasks by learning new skills and tools was discouraged. I felt as though the managers, who only had Bachelor's degrees, were afraid of being outsmarted by the RAs with higher degrees. All in all, management at Ipsos does not respect lower to mid-level staff. They want you to work a dead-end job for a low pay, then breadcrumb you in hopes that you will stay longer. I left within a year and doubled my salary at my next role. The managers at my current job actually respect my opinion, appreciate what I bring to the table, and give me the freedom to do my job well.
