Pros

Somewhat flexible in telecommuting. Salary is decent.

Cons

Poor management. Too focused on sales instead of quality of work. Senior management is expected to sell and everyone below them is stuck with workloads that are hard to manage.

Pros

Large company, big clients, good projects

Cons

Compensation is pathetic. You will receive an annual 1% "merit" increase, which will sometimes come before your manager has even started your review. If you qualify for a promotion and it is approved by your SVP, be prepared to wait a minimum of six months for it to be approved by the CEO. The company also just raised health insurance premiums by 30% (an extra ~$2000 a year for family plan). If you account for inflation, you will effectively make less money every year you work here. The company also offers no parental leave benefits beyond what is required by law, so nothing for dads ( you need to use your meager vacation time to see that baby) and six weeks disability pay / six weeks unpaid for moms. Good luck paying for childcare on your Ipsos salary!!

Pros

It is a great place to start your career and learn about the basics of Market Research. For junior level staff, it can be initially rewarding and a great stepping stone. Training has improved in the past few years and seems to be much more readily available. Benefits are about average for the industry.

Cons

Over the past few years the company dynamic has changed a great deal. There is very little growth opportunities for further advancement and work life balance is nearly non-existent. Many internal business units seem to be extremely top heavy in leadership, with few resources to actually get the work done. The expectation is to work late nights and weekends and do whatever it takes to get the work accomplished with no reward which can be very disheartening over time.
