Pros

Mailchimp is a great company in many respects. It pays competitively, benefits are pretty good. However, if you are qualified to work here you can probably find a better employer. Once human-centric, Mailchimp has been purchased by Intuit and the changes have been drastic. Much of our experienced talent with specialized knowledge has left. The direction of the company has changed greatly and is largely being pushed in the direction of making quarterly profits. The work is still okay but the culture has changed a lot and continues to change to match its new Fortune 500 leadership.

Cons

The human cost of being acquired has been great. People are getting worked much harder than before and many deadlines are mounting up and becoming impossible. The fun quirky perks that made Mailchimp a nice and fun place to work are gone. You can probably find a better employer if you're qualified to work here. That used to not be the case.

Pros

1. Intuit is an employee-centric company. It provides a lot of benefits. 2. Relocation benefit, ESPP, RSU, Health benefits, etc. 3. Rewards in the form of spotlights

Cons

1. Depending on the team, you might have to take late calls even after 9.30pm and early calls even before 8am due to the need to connect with the US team working in PDT timezone. 2. Since, the work is done in short sprints, you need to give status of the work done on previous day in the next day's stand up, which sometimes leads to exhaustion.

Pros

Awesome Benefits and Work-Life Balance. You keep getting gifts on a regular basis, and the workload is not that much.

Cons

Peer group is not as great as compared to Big Tech like Google, etc.
