Pros

The work is always interesting and thought-provoking. The offices are truly world-class, with a great cafe. Casual, laid-back atmosphere.

Cons

My experience has been that other people love to take credit for your work and get rewarded very well for it. I'm talking a three month trip to England or China or India. All expenses paid to "work" there. It's complete BS... the ones who talk the loudest and longest and have the meetings with the senior leaders win, not the ones who are the smartest and work the hardest. There are plenty of people who work their asses off and save the company's behind every year and never get anything more than a token "Spotlight" award. So if you want to get ahead, prepare to stab a few backs.

Pros

- Good work life balance (for most!) - Focus on employees - their concerns and growth. Spotlight recognition programs are seriously motivating and encouraging. - Supportive management and leadership - Bent towards innovation and working towards delightful customer experiences. Could be a real good place for people who like to work backwards from the customer.

Cons

- Legacy technology. Not the best place for people looking to work on cutting edge problems of scale, performance. Most teams (atleast in India) work on maintenance projects. - Not the brightest of colleagues. You could get a job offer if you come from Yahoo, Amazon or startups instantly and be well paid but you will find your colleagues are still a good 3-5 years behind in technology. - Lax colleagues. Due to the balanced work and life culture, loads of people have taken it quite easy. Lots of people are not pushed and hence people who work hard, need to work overboard to compensate. - Some teams work very close with US teams leading to many late night calls. This is a serious toll for a few in an otherwise balanced work and life culture

Pros

There are lots of great technologies to be exposed to. There are some very good people that have rubbed off on me.

Cons

The politics at Intuit are like no other mature corporation. It's more like a high school. I've witness very unfair and unethical practices on a daily basis. The lack of communication from peers that are only in it for themselves and Managers who are stuck in their comfort zone is intolerable. This comfort has generated some very lazy and dishonest co-workers and management.
