Pros

- Co-worker and management support for professional development. If you want to take classes, read books, have meetings with other groups or managers they are super supportive. They really do encourage job transfers within the company when you want to try something new. - Shared learnings are huge right now with lots of opportunities to share and learn "learn-teach-learn" they call it. - Telecommute policy, many people work from home at least one day a week and schedules seem pretty flexible in general - Annual bonus is a fun addition to your paychecks - Overall benefits seem very good compared to other companies I've worked for in the Silicon Valley

Cons

- Certain products have peak periods of work where you can be putting in crazy hours for a couple months - There are certain Intuit only methodologies which if you don't buy into you may have a difficult time fitting in the the culture (Big Y, True North)

Pros

Really, really smart people focused on solving big, important problems for people and small business owners. Long history of really caring about what customers actually need vs. just selling them the latest technology.

Cons

This is starting to change, but the company moves slowly to make decisions that are "no-brainers." And, because Intuit is a nice company, we want to serve everyone well. That means we end up making decisions to serve all people in a mediocre way instead of a targeted group in an excellent way.

Pros

Intuit respects you as a person. That respect shows itself through flexible hours, outstanding benefits, and a generally happy working environment.

Cons

Our six sigma history has led to a culture of process. Almost process for the sake of process. This leads to slow decision making. We need to get better at taking quick, yet intelligent, action.
