Pros

Nice employees, benefits are standard, not bad about the same as other places of employment.

Cons

Management doesn't care. They listen but do nothing. Pay " raises" are ridiculous. Equipment is antiquated and outdated. Employees Need to train new employees but are not compensated extra in any way. If someone calls off for the shift after you, you are expected to stay or try to find a replacement.

Pros

Regional office works fantastic as a team, the work is varied and interesting, work is distributed evenly among internal team.

Cons

Constant issues with payroll and expenses; low wage for what is expected out of each employee, no stipend for use of personal vehicle (travel can be up to 1000 miles per week), the workload is often greater than what a small group should handle under normal conditions.

Pros

It is never boring working at Intertek; every day you are evaluating and testing new and innovative products. Setting your own schedule to complete the projects you have been assigned allows motivated, hardworking engineers to shine. Consistent performance is noticed by management and rewarded in a variety of ways (Star Awards, Merit Increases, and promotions). Starting with 20 days of PTO is also a major plus. The benefits are also on par with other global companies. A positive spin on the Cons listed below is that there is room for personal growth for outstanding performers.

Cons

Intertek is a global company and there are many layers of management, even at the local level. As a for-profit company hitting revenue goals is a must, and engineers are expected complete projects within the allotted time. This can be stressful for unorganized or slow paced engineers.
