      Transforming but slowly

      Pros

      4 weeks PTO is granted to every new hire without negotiating. Work life balance if you have the right job and boss. New CEO is forcing senior management to change; most won't survive if the bar is raised because they lack the skills.

      Cons

      Executive team lacks basic strategy and business skills. Management has no idea what leadership in a global organization looks like because they 'grew up' in small mom and pop sized labs. Extremely poor communication and people management skills. At times, I wonder if I'm at work or in an episode of the Kardashians. High turnover in all job areas.

      Worst Place I Have EVER Worked

      Pros

      Good exposure to many products, great crew, decent benefits.

      Cons

      In the 1 year that I worked in the Texas City, TX location, management has changed the schedule 3 times. Inspectors are now on call 24 hours a day 6 days a week. No guaranteed 40 hr work week, even though they classify you as full time. Management is the most uneducated people I have ever worked with. Very rude, and very detached. If you are single, and only want to spend your life working, Intertek is the place for you.

      Family type atmosphere. Co-workers are always willing to help when in need. Knowledgeable people in the industry.

      Was bought out by Intertek.
