Benefits are good, lack of communication is a real problem

Cons

A huge lack of communication between corporate, upper management & employees. Our servers were obviously hacked this year and we didn’t have access to anything & were expected to just keep working and find a way around it. Corporate & upper management never addressed the issue with employees. Our managers kept saying they didn’t know anything. With the corona virus pandemic, upper management has said Intertek won’t allow anyone to work from home and that’s all they know.

Pros

Variety of instruments and techniques available. Great flexible working hours. Great peers to work alongside/moan about the company with.

Cons

No training or support. No PC for 6 weeks and no work for 3 months... Very quick to shame and blame when things then inevitably go wrong. People screaming and crying in the lab through frustration. People refusing to talk to management except through email due to arguments in front of everyone in the office! Was almost relieved to get sacked for making a mistake (due to no training in something I told them I had never done before during my interview and again when they gave me the task) as the place was making me ill with the atmosphere and ridiculous ways of working.

Cons

Everything is Cons. Workload per person is twice or thrice the market situation. The increment is 2% or 3%. The attrition rate is over 30%. No employee welfare scheme or policies.
