Pros

I've had an outstanding journey with the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF), and I'm thrilled to share my positive experience. The culture at IxDF is truly remarkable - a dynamic environment filled with fantastic individuals who maintain high standards without compromising on support. What sets IxDF apart is their commitment to excellence without making you feel overwhelmed. It's like a healthy competition where you're constantly challenged, but there's a genuine sense of safety and trust. I appreciate how they trusted me in various stages and actively supported me in balancing my personal and professional life. One standout quality is their ability to celebrate achievements, creating a motivating atmosphere. Communication is top-notch, making collaboration seamless. The emphasis on cooling down during pressure moments is a game-changer. In essence, IxDF provides an incredible culture, ample opportunities for growth, and surrounds you with exceptional people. It's been a rewarding journey, and I'm excited about the continued growth and success with IxDF.

Cons

One aspect for potential improvement at IxDF could be enhancing the visibility of our long-term product journey. While we currently benefit from a concise monthly planning process, a broader bird's-eye view of the product roadmap could be invaluable.

Pros

I have been working with IxDF for some time now and everyday my view of the company and the team gets better. IxDF has a great culture of compassion and passion. Where you are encouraged to grow and given freedom to explore what is best for you and the company.

Cons

IxDF demands that you be passionate. And people who are not passionate won't survive for long.

Pros

Upper management trusts that employees know what to do and leave them to it which is fantastic. You work with smart people and there isn't much office politicking which was incredibly refreshing. The onboarding experience has been super detailed and unlike anything I've experienced before. There is a culture course that details everything from the history, the mission & vision, work modality, how to get the best work-life balance, etc. An onboarding buddy assists you to get used to different systems and processes. There are lots of opportunities to have a strong impact on the products and culture. Everyone is able to put their views, defend ideas with data and do what's best for the company & the product. The management can be easily reached out and are indeed visionary. They really understand people and tech. Good overall compensation & benefits. Yearly company retreat (on hold now due to COVID).

Cons

Not really a con but you have to be able to work independently and take responsibility for your work.
