Pros

They got me a job

Cons

Very unprofessional. Was given incorrect information about the job I took- as in I was told a completely different job description. They had no idea what they were talking about. Nothing in writing, everything is “verbal”. They are extremely pushy and do not care if you are a good fit for a role or if it’s even the type of job you want they will corner you to take a role at all means necessary. They didn’t even file my tax information correctly so I owed thousands back to the state in tax season. You are a number to these people, they want you to turn permanent they so they make their $$ bonus off of you. They will not pay you what you are worth either. For example: if a company is paying $25/hr to have you they will pay $15/hr and tell you they can’t give you anymore so they can make that extra $10/hr on top of what the company pays them to get contractors. You’d be better off never working with this company. Only reason they are a “top”/“good” company is because they make money and the way they do that is to step on everyone possible and do whatever it takes to get there even if that means lacking every professional trait possible.

Pros

-Meet a few authentic people who will become life long friends -Uncapped commission structure for Account Managers and Recruiters only

Cons

-High turnover- someone leaves every 1-2 weeks. And when you leave, you will more than likely have nothing nice to say -Call center-like atmosphere. No privacy. -Frat house atmosphere, which is cool for kids right out of college, but it doesn’t make for a long, professional career -Dress code- girls must wear heels at all times, even if you have a medical note (pretty sure this is illegal) I know of a few girls who have quit due to the comments from management about the “dress code policy”. These girls were extremely professional and very well put together at all times -Lack of diversity- seems like they only hire good looking, outgoing people. They judge you by your social media pictures before contacting you for potential employment -There are no women leaders in upper management -Only 2 lunch periods per day, which are strictly enforced as if you are in kindergarten. 1st lunch (11:30-12:30) or 2nd lunch (12:30-1:30). If you are 1 minute late (even if you leave later because you are working) you are immediately pulled into a back conference room and scolded. -There are only 2 times during the day, A-time (between 8am-5pm) and B-time (before 8am-after 5pm). You are expected to be in the office between 7-7:30am every day or you will be confronted. -If you have a doctors/dentist/any personal appointment that might happen to fall outside of A-time, you will be talked down to and encouraged to go during B-time (personal time). If you ask permission to go during your 1 hour permitted lunch break and indicate that the appointment might go over (because you never know, right?) management will ask you questions about what your appointment is about, how long it will take, and why you couldn’t go during B time. -Terrible PTO/sick policy. And when you do actually have days to use, you will be afraid to ask for it. It is completely discouraged to the point where you don’t ask for it. If you are lucky enough to take a “day off” you will be working regardless or you don’t get coverage from recruiters on your business that you work hard to bring in, resulting in lost business and lost commissions. If you are out sick, you will get 20+ calls per day from the office… which is still fully expecting you to work. -Absolutely zero work/life balance unless you don’t have any family or friends that you actually care about -If you are in sales, you spend 3-4 nights a week with clients and/or in the office way after hours working, none of which you get paid for -401k matched up to $250 per year. That is 2 grocery trips. -No matter how successful you are you will never be praised without a follow up of what you still need to approve on and a list of things that you are doing wrong -Lack of career options if you aren’t passionate about sales or recruiting and don’t want to relocate to Atlanta -If you love micromanaging, this is the place for you!!! -Seems like a walking/functioning HR/legal issue -No training for management, 90% of the procedures how they “operate” is completey illegal (trust me) -HR is literally nonexistent, even for the most common sense things that people should know -No stock options or any extra incentives for anyone outside of sales or recruiting, no matter how long you are with the company and how much you work you put in -The majority of the people who get promoted are promoted off of popularity and favoritism, not merit. -Looking back, I am ashamed of how long I put up with it in hopes it would get better, as management always promised. So many false promises. It was like an abusive relationship. -LASTLY, don’t look at the reviews where the “Cons” say anything like “No cons that I know of”, etc. They ask brand new recruiters right out of college to post a review with they are in their honeymoon phase with the company to increase their Glassdoor, Yelp, Google, etc. reviews. These reviews will change, guaranteed.

Pros

- Everyone is young and "fun" - Everyone hooks up with each other so if you're looking for that, you have a lot of people to choose from - If you are sad to graduate college, you can have that same atmosphere here

Cons

Girls here are objectified to the extreme. From the day they start, men see them as pretty objects with the sole purpose of looking pretty and not talking too much. The men see themselves as the crucial players, and most of them are frat guys who never wanted to leave the fratty environment. It really doesn't matter how smart you are, the men here do not believe that contributes to your worth and value at the company. The sexual harassment women are subjected to on a daily basis is unimaginable, but women do not feel comfortable reporting it or standing up for themselves, because they are told that their looks are what got them there in the first place. Not all staffing agencies are like this, and the treatment people receive here should not be legal or condoned by anyone. However, recent college graduates are desperate for jobs, and the misleading interview process places many unsuspecting graduates in a difficult situation once they accept. The turnover rate is very high, and most people decide fairly soon that the cons greatly outweigh to "fun" perks, like happy hours. Fortunately for insight global, they do not break a sweat when a high percentage of their employees quit, because they prepare for that, and they continue to hire new, unsuspecting grads. Almost all the reviews on glassdoor for Insight Global are fake, and employees are forced to write these exceedingly positive reviews. If you want to know the truth about the company, look up almost anyone on Linkedin who used to work there, and it's likely they will validate what I'm trying to warn you. Everyone, women and men, are worth more than the disrespect and lack of value they experience at Insight Global. If you are completely jobless and need something to pass the time and make a few checks, try it out and you can use them like they hope to use you. I hope more current and former employees take it upon themselves to be honest in their reviews, so that their quality of life improves and advice to management is taken into consideration. This can be fixed if Insight Global wishes to change.

We are sorry to hear that anyone has had, or is having, a bad experience with us. Your post raises issues that Insight Global takes very seriously. Since this is an anonymous post, we can’t otherwise contact you, so we did want to address a few specific points so that you know that your concerns are being heard. First, sexual harassment is expressly prohibited under company policy, and it is a matter we take very seriously. If you feel that you are being harassed, we encourage you to report your concerns to HR immediately so that we may investigate and address the matter. We are committed to providing a safe and professional workplace for all of our employees, and once we learn of such concerns we can address them immediately. To be clear, the company will not retaliate against any employee for making a good faith report about such concerns, and we intend to discuss the general concerns noted below with our office leaders. Second, we want to emphasize that our female employees are not only valued but, in fact, critical to the success of our company. We believe firmly in the concept of a meritocracy, and we look for the best person for any job without regard to gender or any other protected characteristic. Within this framework, women in our company have been extremely successful and represent approximately one-half of the office sales leadership. Many of our most successful sales people are women, including top performing account managers and national account managers with responsibility for our largest accounts. We believe that what sets apart those that excel is not their appearance but a combination of work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to our clients and contractors. We hope that this will address some of your concerns and want to encourage you to contact HR if you have further concerns so that we may look into them and take appropriate action.
