Pros

Free espresso & Red Bull. If you sack it up and stick it out you have the potential to earn a VERY good living.

Cons

Too many. This company is one big fat lawsuit waiting to happen, but everyone they hire is fresh out of college and doesn't know any better. I absolutely HATED working here. They are a cult and if you don't conform and make friends with everyone then you won't get promoted. Yup, you being promoted to Account Manager is based majority on your relationships in the office AKA hanging out with your coworkers ALL THE TIME. You get assigned an Account Manager who is basically your mentor, but good luck because if you don't like yours you are stuck with them anyways. And again, you can't tell anyone you dislike them because after all, this is a beauty pageant and your goal is to win Miss Congeniality. During the days you get an option of going to lunch either from 11:30-12:30 or 12:30-1:30 and you better plan on going to lunch with your coworkers otherwise you will be outcasted and questioned and people will talk about you. They are VERY cliquey. They micromanage everything you do. They have a confrontation model where if someone upsets you or says something that hurts your feelings you have to pull them out of the office, confront them, then email them a "follow up" message and CC both of your Account Managers as well as your Sales Manager. Basically treat you like you're 12. You have to put your daily tasks of what you completed on your Account Managers desk so they can check your work...because again, you're a child. All meetings for recruiters are at 7am on Fridays... Tuesdays you have to be in the office at 7:15am, every other day it's 7:30am except for Fridays where you have to be in at 7am...oh but they feed you breakfast so it's fine...usually McDonalds...Once a quarter they have a meeting from 5pm-as long as it takes (usually until 8pm) to sit around and do "Pluses and Deltas" basically go around and say one positive and negative thing about everyone. It's usually personal stuff too because obviously this company isn't professional. For the first 8 weeks you're hourly so they will get you out of the door by 5pm, but make no mistake after that time you will get dirty looks if you leave at 5pm.. Also, all meetings and conferences aren't during normal business hours. All recruiter and sales meetings are either before 8am or after 5pm. Conferences are usually from Friday-Sunday...Your life will be consumed by this company. They ask their contractors to write reviews on websites such as Glassdoor in order for their company to have high star reviews. Do yourself a favor and unless you are EXTREMELY desperate for a job in order to move to the city you want to be in or because you need the money while you're searching for your dream job, DO NOT WORK HERE!!!

Pros

Inner office culture, the people you work with become your best friends & family. Insight Global is a great "starter job" out of college, you learn a lot of basic business fundamentals. You see a lot of positive reviews about Insight Global, because we're required to write four a month as a Recruiter.

Cons

Insight Global WAS once rainbows & unicorns. The executives have lost sight of their company and now their only concern is going public. You are not hired for sales. You may be told during your interview that you are, but realistically - you are sitting in the office for 9 hours a day, calling people, at a desk and not leaving the building. You're required to be an Account Manager's slave for the day and required to stay late (like 9pm late) if you can't accomplish your goal for the day. 1 out of 10 people we hire "make it" to sales, after about 7-12 months as a recruiter. The others we "push out", meaning we force to quit. You're paid DIRT cheap, like $30K dirt cheap. Unless you are a $20K Account Manager or Professional Recruiter (a route they ask you to take when they don't believe you'll succeed in Sales)... than you won't see much income and you're also always walking on eggshells because management wants to "put you on a plan". You are just a number, it doesn't matter what value add you've given to the company. The management is your age, usually a part of the same frat from college and they don't care about you. Again, unless you're at $20K then you don't hear from anyone, and you're in the clear.
