Pros

From the outside looking in, the company does reward success. You are required to take it upon yourself to go the extra mile before and after work for "role-playing" to develop your salesmanship and company pitches which means you can advance as quickly as your skills allow it. It is a very fast paced and stressful environment - some people thrive in that kind of a scenario.

Cons

When I left, I found a seating chart buried in a stack of candidate profiles that I had made for myself on the first day. Of the 12 fellow Recruiter 1's in the Pit with me on that first day, one was promoted to a territory 75 miles away, and all but 2 had quit. The recruiter role is pretty much telemarketing without a script. While there are some opportunities to move up in the company, you can easily hit a glass ceiling in a more settled city area. Management was prone to obvious office politics (picking favorites, etc). It a tough environment with some serious micromanaging tendencies. Management will try to keep your energy up with gimmicks like races, but all that really does is just add to the stress-level of stressed out employees.

Pros

The staff are all young and right out of college. Everyone likes to have fun and everyone gets along with each other.

Cons

Pretty much everything. This includes: pay (low base + pennies for commission), hours (55+hrs/week), management's constant pressure/big brother tactics, shady business practices, treating contractors like garbage (and internal employees are glorified contractors), no work vs personal life distinction (you are expected to work and then hang out with the same people and it is frowned upon when you don't). Basically they sucker recent college grads into thinking they can make a lot of money but in reality they just use you for a couple months (incredibly high turnover ratio).

Pros

-young coworkers -resume builder -makes every other job seem easy

Cons

-start time of 8am but considered late at 7:30am -multiple weekly meetings to touch base on your progress (this instilled more anxiety in me than it did promote my work ethic) -unlivable wage -forced use of personal phone for work purposes where you are accessible to candidates and coworkers 24/7 -insanely high KPI or “metrics” -expectations increase with every milestone you make -hammering phones all. day. long. -$200+ a month for office parking -bullpen office set up -sorority/fraternity atmosphere -colleagues in other offices do not have respect for anyone outside of their own home office (we work across offices so this is a significant problem) -the jobs you try to fill may fall through to no fault of your own because no one is honest at this company (wasted work and time on your behalf) -you can meet one metric but if you’re missing another you’re still failing in managements eyes (i.e. getting 5 people a job and making the company a lot of money last week doesn’t matter this week if you can’t do it again + more) -so much more but i have anxiety thinking about it
