Pros

Flexible hours. There really are no other pros about Insight Global.

Cons

No paid vacation. No raises. No feedback. No communication between employees and Insight Global on-site 'manager' since she is rarely there.

DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

As a recent graduate, being surrounded by 21-27 year old's is way more enticing than working a desk job with soon-to-be retired folks. I'll give them that. But when they rave about such a great "company culture", I can't help but laugh. Yes - everyone is young and fun and it definitely is a "work hard play harder" environment, but there's a lot of gossip and excessive drinking. All in all - it's a fraternity or sorority that isn't as rewarding. I can't even say "if you do well you will be successful" because I was #1 in my class and still hated my life and wasn't guaranteed promotion on time. The only pro was that I got to work in a beautiful city and upgrade my wardrobe.

Cons

So many - please do not be enticed by the compensation, benefits, or ability to grow like they tell you on LinkedIn. Yes - the top people in the company are making 150k and even some sales managers and account managers are making more. But what you have to do to earn that money is borderline Wolf on Wall Street. I was looked at funny and clients tried to make moves on me for a sale. You are required to take clients out (business men and women 35 and up) to sell weekly. This typically is a drinking event that lasts until 9:00PM. Of course moves will be made. I felt so violated. Also - cursing and alcohol are excessive. It's uncomfortable to work in that environment 24/7. You will work 7:10-5:30 or later every day and get paid for 40 hours. have fun.

Not what I signed up for

Pros

Breakfast provided on Friday mornings

Cons

I worked at Insight a global for 7 months and it was not the position I signed up for. When they initially recruit you, they sell you on the account manager role. They tell you you’ll be building relationships with clients and getting a lot of time out and about. What they don’t tell you is that you enter as a recruiter. You job is to make as many phone calls a day to people who don’t want to talk to you. All of your calls are monitored and you have to turn in your call sheets and other required documentation at the end of every day. You will be judged on how you look and how many friends you make in the office. I have seen girls not get promoted solely based off of their physical appearance. I would not recommend working here. There are plenty of other staffing agencies to work at where they will pay you a lot more and treat you like a human being. At Insight Global, the base salary is ridiculously low (30K in Houston). You will only have 8 days of PTO a year and the benefits are dismal and expensive. Please explore other options if you are thinking about working here.
