Pros

One can make a good deal of money here if they are willing to blindly follow a system that is not necessarily grounded in common sense. It does require more than 50 hours of work per week if you want to be promoted from the Recruiter role to the Account manager role.

Cons

Bringing candidates into the office to meet with them even though we do not have a job for them is relatively disheartening. Being required to do this 10 times a week is annoying at times. We are required to have at least 45 CPF's (candidate profile forms) per week which is easy however, you have an account manager or office manager constantly asking to see your call sheets and asking how your activity is, it can be very "Micro managed" at times. This "checking in" is something that happens hourly and sometimes more often than that. We are required to dig in for leads or more commonly referred to as "references". When you get the references, you have to call them immediately and we are required to try and set a "cold call" meeting after speaking with them. This is awkward and pushy. During the interview process, I was told that the sales tactics were non - invasive and that we were trying to build relationships with these clients. Completely false. As a recruiter you are also told that this is 'training' for the account management position. To some degree this is true. They teach you how to cold call and how to run meetings. on the other hand, your "account manager" or "mentor" really doesn't care if you get into sales or not. All they care about is whether or not you are filling their positions as quickly as possible. We promise our clients we send of the best candidate and this is false as well. We send over the first candidate that somewhat seems like a good fit. Turn over in the first year is about 60%. They (the recruiter that contacted you) say it is only about 35% but when I asked someone in HR, they said around 60%. When I was there, I saw three recruiters fired after one month for not "fitting the company culture" which means they did not go out and party every night. I also saw people who were doing well but the management didn't "like" them because they were awkward or weren't "fit". Basically, if you enjoy being told and promised one thing, and finding out that opportunity is completely different, then you should pursue this opportunity.

Pros

Every interaction I've had with the team at Insight Global has been top notch, I've felt like part of a family since day one.

Cons

Being a contractor through Insight Global, my only Con is not getting enough face time with the team. Even though my counter part with Insight Global is several states away, we are always in constant contact.

Pros

Insight Global serves the hiring company needs for positions, providing people to fill a need. As a contract worker working projects, I work in conjunction with the hiring company. Since I work with the hiring company, I have little contact with the inside running of Insight global. My past couple of years, I have had the chance to work with insight global doing and finishing project after project, and in the down turn of the economy, they have kept me pretty well employed with interesting simple jobs that I have excelled at. I do get into more than the job description of my jobs and provide a valuable service both to Insight Global and the hiring company. I find the employees at Insight Global, very friendly and helpful to me. they do suggest jobs that are inline with my past capabilities and do actually progress me to better jobs and have kept me going from project to project fairly often for the past couple of years.

Cons

Rates are determined by the hiring company from from which Insight Global takes a cut by contract supplying employees for needs. This is how Insight Global serves the hiring company, so to talk rate is not very efficient as Insight is limited by the hiring company as to what they are willing to pay. I think that the company provides a wide range of technical people to companies and to that end each person's experience is different. My experience has been for the most part good with nothing bad happening except for the project coming to an end or the hiring company not finding the money to continue the project... the nature of project work is to finish the project which I have very successfully done for many companies.
