I enjoy our customers and the people I work with. Ingles has a lot of good people in bad work situations.

Cons

Not competitive with salary and this forces turnover. Have to continue to train new employees because of this. Upper management does not have a clue as to what goes on in the stores. We get new policy after new policy handed down to us, at times conflicting policies. Pay scale across the board.

If you enjoy being sabotage you'll love working for here. This was by-far the one of the worst experiences I've ever had in the workplace. I've been at entry level up to executive management jobs and this corporation has it wrong on so many levels.

you can get more than minimum wage, which in this particular market is good. yeah, that's about it

Cons

if you're not one of the special ones, you will only ever be given a handful of hours. New people who do nothing all day will have more than you. Since management makes your schedule specifically as to have no direct contact with you, there's no way to communicate. Your emails will go unanswered, and handwritten notes asking them to contact you will be ignored. If your 2nd job that you must get to survive working there is a restaurant, the store manager may confront you telling you that working at a grocery store and a restaurant is a conflict of interests, and give you an ultimatum to decide which one to work.
