Pros

There are a lot of friendly, smart, and interesting co-workers. They have a number of brand name clients. You had a lot of freedom and independence in going about your work, and initiating changes in the company. I think they treat workers reasonably fairly and straightforwardly. There is luck involved in how well your job goes based on the projects you are on. It didn't work out so great for me, but others had a much better experience. While people grumble about pay, I thought 50k right out of college was plenty.

Cons

I struggled to get staffed on projects. I came to the company straight out of college and didn't have most of the skills needed for particular projects. It got lonely working on things from home, and felt pretty disconnected from the rest of the company. There is practically no training program, nearly all the other employees were experienced hires from other firms. It could be a great company for someone else, but I needed more structure and support. I need to find a job where I go to an office and interact with coworkers face to face daily. They let me go after I wasn't staffed on billable work a high enough proportion of the time.

Pros

1. Better work life balance than the peer companies 2. Good training programs 3. You have a good chance of getting a good exposure to projects responsibilites early in career if you show commitment and ask for such roles. Thus you can learn early in your career what your peers in other companies get to learn later in life [this is also due to the fact that middle level managment in the company is usually short in supply and is groomed on the job].

Cons

1. Promotions are not competency based. Instead a key factor determing promotions is the number of years of spent in the last role. Not rewarding for exceptional performers. 2. Support systems work like govt organizations. 3. Public Sector like Hierarchy culture. 4. A very complicated salary structure - substatiatial portion of the salary is variable. 5. Not the best paymasters. 6. Internal unit transfers rare and unofficially discouraged.
