Pros

Good initial bonus for 1st year Due to covid company was not on our tails for policies Decent clients - can be a hit or miss any team which is not headed by anyone from Infosys is the one to go to.

Cons

In-house recruiters will violate company policies to let you join the company Will confirm things verbally over phone and not email then once you join - kaboom Very opaque HR discussion policies Immigration team only knows H1Bs and totally unequipped to work with other work authorizations. Sub par salary (for example for places like Seattle)

Pros

The interviews were good. Pay was less than the competitors but manageable with penny pinching lifestyle.

Cons

Be very cautious when you join infosys, they will interview you for one project and put you in a totally different project with on a week of joining the company. The put the new joiners in the most horrible project that one can think of. After putting you in a totally different project from what was originally promised, they will force you to move to the client location. After moving they will have problems reimbursing you for the relocation costs. When the project you are hired for ends, they will put you on their "bench" which is just a glorified word for and is way less then severance which all most all the American companies offer. My advice to you is dont rely on their bench as there is no definite time frame how long the bench last. i have seen some of their people stay on bench for 6months and some for 6days hardly. During bench they "try" to look for a new project for you, but dont trust that, try to look outside on your own, and get something from outside as soon as you are on bench. But if you are asked to move to client location be very cautious, as reimbursement is very difficult. Last but not the least, just remember that everything except releasing is managed from India, so if you call to inquire about any thing after 10am, dont expect them to answer your call. If you email, dont expect them to respond until 3 in the morning, they observe both american and indian holidays, so half of the time infosys departments are closed. My suggestion to any one seriously considering to join infosys and hoping to stay there till retirement, PLEASE think twice, as they say nothing is permanent, and this absolutley applies to infosys employment. Communicating with infosys HR and accounting is same as working with local SBI in india, except the employees of infosys "sound" more glorified with their yes sir/mam type of vocabs.

Pros

The genuine good junior guys hired from india

Cons

Since 2014 a bunch of people came in that implemented a slave camp, both in AAB and Liberty global. Overall across all accounts in Europe it was the same, a pathetic runaway of all senior capable people and a career for the slave camp managers. This goes as high as NRM who had his CEO run away also. He is the ultimate meat butcher, and promotes equivalent employees locally. I saw 3 generations of architects across europe and employees in the netherlands running away. It was so sad.
