Pros

Large, and loyal customer base, well structured, and organized on-boarding of new employees. Good benefits, and interesting unlimited vacation days (take as you need).

Cons

Although the decision to go private was done a while ago, and it was supposed not to impact the organization, and the investment in technology, they ended up making multiple changes, which makes it more risky as an employer.

Thank you for your comments about Informatica. Change is an inherent part of being in the high tech industry; we are the people making change possible in today's world. It may feel uncomfortable at times, but there is usually a thin edge between fear and excitement. Some things that will not change, however, are our values, which will remain the same. Our customer-first culture will stay the same. And our collaborative, friendly environment will remain the same. These are the traits that make Informatica special. Informatica has historically been – and continues to be – passionately focused on the success of our customers. That is one reason why we have been recognized as #1 in customer service for 9 years’ running and intend to keep that record going. Thank you again for your review and best of luck to you in your future endeavors.

Pros

-Open access to all levels of management, R&D, Support, Professional Services. High class talent and engaged workforce. Working with all major cloud technology players.

Cons

-Bloated software portfolio makes it difficult to be deep enough in all opportunities. SC's need to rely on specialists. The current privatization will reduce interest in R&D and bring down cost cutting everywhere.

Thank you for your review of Informatica and your advice to management. Our move to private ownership was, in fact, spurred by our desire to invest more in R&D and new ideas rather than less.. You can be sure Informatica will continue to innovate: over the next couple of months, we will showcase our product innovation and market leadership at a number of events (Dreamforce, Financial Services Summit, Strata, Amazon Reinvent) and launch activities (Powercenter v10, Project Atlas, Secure@Source v2). Our goal of Informatica being a great place to work and having a strong people-centric culture will also not change with this transition. Our values will remain the same. Our customer-first culture will stay the same. And our collaborative, friendly environment will remain the same. These are the traits that make Informatica special and I’d like to reassure you that there is a high degree of focus on keeping it that way. Thanks again for your comments and best of luck to you.
