Major overhaul in professional services needed

Unlimited time off, flexible work location.

Cons

The professional services organization has had a lot of new management within the past year or so that are trying to implement changes. The motivation behind these changes is good, but the execution is horrible. People are leaving because of new management, lack of a clear path for advancement, micromanagement, and poor raises. Employee development is also horrible as you will spend a lot of time on the bench doing nothing. 5 associates have left or are leaving since the new year. This isn't a coincidence and highlights significant problems and complaints. I would not recommend joining professional services in any capacity as everyone is jumping ship.

Our Professional Services team is a big part of customer success, our company’s success, and our continued growth. While you may have left the organization already, we encourage any employee to provide direct feedback to their leadership, or our HR team, as applicable, while still onboard. This can come as ideas, suggestions, constructive solutions, or general feedback...we value it all. In the last month alone, we saw over 20% of the Professional Services organization receive promotions in the annual merit/promo cycle, both to higher level individual contributor roles and into management roles. Further, over 85% of Professional Services staff received annual merit increases. With any growing company, especially one in the dynamic, ever-changing software industry which we belong, changes in management structure and business unit re-organization are a constant reality to meet the strategic needs of the business. Change management is always tough, especially for a tenured team like Professional Services. Changes in reporting relationships were made to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and consistent within the organization. They are intended to continue our market space success and better align our structure to deliver to the customers and also support internal employee development. We’ll take your feedback into consideration and we thank you for your input.

a mixed bag

Pros

Excellent salary and benefits. Good local (line) management.

Cons

Upper management seem to be focused on Cloud with absolutely no interest in core technologies. Core personnel are regarded as a drain on company resources, and the first to go in redundancy rounds. Complete focus on US employees and market, Europe is a very poor third class to US and India. Same upper management faces reappear in top positions, seemingly regardless of talent or competence.

Pros

Large portfolio to sell. Once you get in the clients door with a solution, there's much more opportunity to expand. Most all solutions are Gartner Magic Quadrant leaders

Cons

Since going private, pressure to perform and shorten sales cycles has only increased. Management didn't care about strategy and enablement. Only cared about discussing pipeline and booking gaps and how you intended to fill them with no suggestions of their own such as having regular solution use case discussions
