      Pros

      There is no common sales methodology and the products they sell do not work together for customers.

      Cons

      On-Premise and Cloud are the same as the Cloud Product has an agent and has big competition from Dell Boomi.

      Pros

      Great co workers, work life balance, and salary. Company still has a good name in the corporate world. It is the industry standard.

      Cons

      Executive management is a merry go round. They hop on, make money, promote themselves and leave. They all praise each other but the results aren't there. Infa won't be Infa soon. We will be acquired. Benefits cost more each year. When is the last time they created a new profitable product? Not an acquisition, not a cloud version....

But we believe we have the team that will take us forward towards our mission to become the leading data management company in the world. They chose Informatica, coming from employers such as Oracle, IBM, SAS Institute and other blue-chip companies. Good news is, Gartner ranks us as the market leader in the important iPaaS (hybrid Cloud) category, so we have shown that we can - and do - lead when it comes to the latest technologies.       Pros

      Good remote worker support and culture, very happy with the ability for employees of all levels to have a good work-life balance. HR and career development is one of the absolutely best I have seen in most companies and certainly better than all companies of their size. The products are great and there is amazing potential.

      Cons

      Lots of levels of management. Would be good for some flattening to occur of layers of managers. there are too many chiefs and not enough braves. Some of the division leads and c-level execs are not great leaders often berating employees, ignoring or just plain not listening to what their teams are saying. While HR has a great leadership development program, it seems that many of the execs have not taken it to heart. Clearly for there to be growth of employees and revenue, there are a few execs that need to go.

But, in a dynamic industry such as ours, change is routine. It is woven into the very fabric of what we do and even in the air we breathe in Silicon Valley. Your comments about the organization are obviously open to debate. What is certain is that there will be changes made in order to further focus our efforts and resources to improve the products and services we deliver to our customers. And, we would take respectful exception to characterizing the Informatica Way as “strange.” We believe our results to date – over 7 years with a CAGR of 17%, a product portfolio mostly developed within the last five years, accelerating growth of our Cloud business (up nearly 50% in the last year), awards for excellence in data integration, data security, customer loyalty, and as a great place to work – speak volumes about the efficacy of the Informatica Way. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
