      Informatica Professional Services (IDC) is loosing its sheen !!

      Good work culture !! Quality work. Good learning curve.

      Cons

      New recruits are not of good quality. The focus on quality is missing. No Onsite for consultants ... seems its only namesake. This is hampering customer facing experience. After privatization, the focus shifted to revenue only (making money) and employee growth opportunities is gone with the wind !! This is hindering growth curve. Indian directors/heads are there namesake and are powerless to take any decisions even when they are very much capable and able leaders. I think the US heads need to trust the abilities of the leaders here as they are very experienced and focused people. College grads are recruited with relatively less package with false promises of travel. This is not there now leading to grads opting for other companies and not Informatica. This will lead to lesser quality people getting into the company !! All-in-All, if the above points are rectified, it is surely a great place to work. And about HR - Specific to IPS, there are not many good HR initiatives. Needs to be improved and new ideas needs to flow in.

We benchmark our local compensation and benefits continuously to ensure that Informatica can attract and hire the best talent. If you have specific suggestions as to how and where we may improve, by all means please share them with your HR Business Partner. Likewise, if there are definite HR initiatives you would like to see implemented that are not already underway, please let us know. We don't claim to be perfect, but 83% of your peers in Consulting in Bengaluru would recommend Informatica to a friend, and that cohort rate us 4.1 out of 5 stars.       Decent pay considering Indian IT market Good engineers Good HR initiatives for employee engagement

      Cons

      Not the same company now .. entire leadership is changed .. No onsite opportunities ..once in 3 year only for 1-2 month GCS its completely biased towards Tamil people .. felt lot of discrimination due to this, well this is same across all IT companies . ..so just don't care if you can! HR team is good ..but with less power . after one such feedback employees are encouraged to post 2-3 positive posts to cover up

      From Bad to Worse

      Pros

      Few good products. Good compensation package.

      Cons

      After acquisition, people who were working here since long time are leaving. ESPP and RSU benefits are gone post acquisition. Lots of attrition. Lot of good people have left. No work life balance. You are very often required to work late nights and on weekends. People are not co-operative especially in hyderabad. No process in place. Hyderabad facility is bad.
