Pros
There's great personal freedom to act as needed towards objectives without micromanagement. Plenty of support mechanisms for collaboration, and there are a lot of very smart people to work with.
Cons
There's so much information available, sometimes more than one source for the same thing, so it can be confusing to sort out where to look. Limited feedback from management - depends who you work for but in my case there's no feedback beyond a cursory annual review unless you push for it.
