      Pros

      The experience in terms of work culture , technology vary quite a lot from department to department . I was lucky to be in a team that grew out around me from the time i joined. It was a flat, highly motivated team that was working on a newly acquired product, management and technology wise this team had very little overlap with rest of Informatica products. The team was flat structured, with good amount freedom to select our technology. The top management was driving us very hard but there was good raises and bonuses the whole time so it evened out. Overall it was good experience , but this is what a good team inside could be , experience in other teams could be quite different.

      Cons

      The top brass has metastatised in terms of new thoughts and ideas . They are mostly people that have come here after long stints in other big enterprises (Oracle/SAP) and/or Indian Services companies. There idea of tech is man management and view of the world is that of DB world of the 90's . They would boldly go forth branding their offerings with whatever is the flavour of the season "BIG DATA" , "CLOUD" and what-have-you but one good look reveals that these "concepts" are some scattered fogs in their horizon. The technological and design choices of most mainstream Informatica products reflect their personalities and dynamics of their relationships .

      Pros

      Informatica has an impressive product portfolio, with a very well known brand and a huge customer base. As we all know there is no such thing as an easy sale, but it sure helps to have a very focused company behind you. It has an innovation DNA which is hard to find in similar companies. The benefits and fixed salary are very good. Great support from Administrative staff in general.

      Cons

      There is a lot of room for improvement regarding Territory planning and attribution to Sales Managers. The quest for massive pipeline generation tends to create some problems, as opportunities are not infinite in the companies. There is not an option of a corporate car, as other companies in the same level/size offer.

Regarding the comment about corporate car, we know that some people rather have a corporate car instead of a car allowance, as we currently offer. However, we face regulation restrictions to make any change on this benefit right now.

      Pros

      A company that plans and execute any topic with excellence. Marketing, product development, professional services, sales, education, HR and others departments working for a same objective: make the customer experience the best as possible.

      Cons

      Until today I don't see any cons to work here.
