Opportunity, but with little security

Pros

Because it's a very dynamic company in terms of constant organizational change, there are lots of opportunities to take on more responsibility. Management is will to give new people a chance in leadership roles. Infor Global is also very flexible in its work arrangements, offering work-at-home or even full telecommuting possibilities. For my particular position and years of experience, Infor Global pays near the top of the salary range.

Cons

For the reasons that I've indicated for Infor Global being a good place to work, these can also make it a very challenging place to work. The constant organizational change that Infor undertakes leads to opportunity, but it also leads to a great deal of anxiety about job security, as well as a sense that the company has no long-term vision. In my short time at the company, there have been two significant (40%+ of headcount) layoffs in my particular office, as well as 2 or 3 more smaller reorganizations where 10% or more of headcount was reduced. For my particular position, Infor pays near the top of the range in terms of salary, however, there is no bonus structure at the company and no process for achieving a pay raise on a yearly basis.

Pros

Numerous products to sell from many aquired companies. Decent base pay for the industry, could be better. Able to work out of a home office.

Cons

Micromanaging, too many reports not enough selling. left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. Lack of senior management communication with employees. Too many systems to obtain customer information, customer data not accurate, needs cleaned up. Too many layers of management. Unattainable quotas. Aging of products with no new enhancements being done. Company should realize that employees have a life outside of work and not schedule business related functions over the weekends or holidays.
