Pros

None. If you want to count decent health insurance and vacation days, then fine.

Cons

Management is the WORST I've ever seen in Corporate. They lack the necessary knowledge and do nothing. Whoever is hiring internally has no idea what they are doing, which is clear by the high turnover rate. Highly unprofessional, I would never recommend this company to anyone. No perks. The sad thing is that the company is expanding rapidly in the American market. You will never grow in this company unless you are 1. Spanish 2. Are buddy buddy with the uppers 3. Are from Spain There is one problem I have with the people coming from the Spain HQ -- How can you bring people to work in the US when they have no sense of American culture, laws, practices, etc?! And give them management positions at that?! Makes absolutely no sense.

Pros

Flexible working hours, AMAZING people and the team, free uniforms (which sometimes are just horrible, uncomfy and it's just impossible to wear them)

Cons

1.They are changing your shifts and don't inform you - then they will call you in the morning asking why you are not work and telling that you have to check the rota all the time and forcing you to come anyways. 2. All of those managers from Spain coming every week or month just to stay over the phone for the whole day, tell you off, show off their position and put you under pressure. They expect you to know everything and be always ready to fulfil their wishes while they are just literally doing nothing and talking Spanish all the time - if you dont know Spanish they will just alk about you in their language and then smiling at you like they are not offending you. They even dont speak a sort of good English but claim to be the bosses and the kings. 3. NO ROOM FOR GROWING, trust me - if you are good they will force you to overwork, do overtime and just overuse you without any pay rise or anything. If you become the responsible you still have the same pay rate but you have to do your work hundred times more. Its just ridicolous how they brainwash their employees by telling they have opportunities - we dont have any! - if they want a manager they will recruit them externally or just simply send someone from Spain. If you are good and want to transfer to another store they will not let you. 4. HUGE rotation of employees - I dont anyone who worked as the sales assistant for more than 2 years! The managers are rotated all the times. I was working only 1 year and meantime I had about 3 new STORE managers, 1 new DEPUTY, dozen of VMS, SA and cashiers. Its just sad - people cry and give the notice as they are literally dying during the duties. 5. They dont challenge you, they dont give you any new duties any space for creativity - will always put you in one zone for the whole life or sometimes they will let you go to the stockroom. 6. MOST IMPORTANT - they pretend that the store is awesome, that this is luxury and there are million of girls dying dor this job - trust me, there are not. They have huge problems in their Human Resources as there are people constantly living. Unless they have no choice to leave. Everyone is upset with the job and wants to leave but sometimes they have nowhere to go... Really sad. 7. I could give you more examples, but if you are looking just to have a job for a short time just go ahead but keep in mind looking for the alternative

Pros

- Good for your future CV. - You can meet a lot of international people because the employment turnover rate is about 1-2 years.

Cons

- SPANISH IS THE MAIN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE AT WORK. (email, meeting, presentation, your work contract, pay slip, some software interface, reports...etc). Many heads of departments can't speak English, so all the meetings are in Spanish just for their convenience. I personally think language barrier is very difficult to build GOOD PEOPLE CONNECTION which is essential to work in such a large company. - POOR AND UNORGANISED TRAINING SYSTEM. - LONG WORKING HOURS. No overtime compensation. Taxi from the office to central is around €20 if you don't have a car. - TOO MANY COLLEAGUES DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH INTERNATIONAL SENSE which creates a lot of misunderstandings. - IMMATURE AND CHILDISH WORKING CULTURE. Many colleagues working in the stores are promoted to work in the office, and store experience is the only work experience they have- they didn't have enough professional business/fashion background or knowledge to support their work. So they do things on "more or less" moods. - SALARY IS LOW. Check the flight price and the transfer connection from your home if you are not from Spain. The flat rent keeps increasing because of a lot ofInditex employees moving in. Not work life balance at all.
