Pros

Passionate people with an extremely robust mission.

Cons

The marketing team is a bit of a mess with poor management and not clear direction of brand identity within the unique marketplace. Staff is siloed in too many different locations.

Thanks very much for taking the time to write a review. I'm concerned to hear that you don't believe there is clear direction. As I'm sure you know, we do present our company goals annually, as well as quarterly goals each quarter at our weekly All Hands meeting. In addition our CEO regularly answers questions that employees vote on so he addresses points that are most relevant to the most employees. If you have further suggestions on how we can give better direction on company goals, we welcome them.

Terrible culture - Charlestown R&D

Pros

Benefits are good. If you don’t question anything and keep a smile on your face you will be rewarded. Get in with the right people, play along with the politics and get promoted.

Cons

HR turns a blind eye to toxic culture and bullying, R&D management cherry picks data and lies to meet their goals and impress shareholders. Employees in perfect standing getting let go suddenly because they weren’t needed anymore. Little room for advancement; they will make people chase after promotions for years while piling on the work. If you care about doing sound science and want to feel rewarded by your work this is NOT the place for you.

Hi there and thank you for your feedback. As someone who was part of Indigo for so long, I’m truly sorry that you have not had a good experience, and this is disappointing to read. You mention bullying and so I’ll take a moment to detail what happens when we someone comes to us with a concern about bullying. Immediately the People Business Partner will investigate by talking with the person who raised the issue, the person allegedly doing the bullying, and anyone who may have witnessed the situation described. The People Business Partner evaluates the claim and discusses it with me and our General Counsel. In the spirit of transparency, we have had two bullying investigations in the past 2 years and we resolved both situations as rapidly as we could while being sure we gathered complete information. I’m concerned that you question the zero tolerance policy and I would be happy to discuss further with you about this and your other concerns. Again while disappointing to read, I am really grateful when people write in to Glassdoor as it gives us an opportunity to learn how people feel. Even if I have a different perspective, if you are not having a good experience, there is an opportunity for us to do better. Thank you.
