Going downhill like a rocket

Pros

The technical side of the word is great, and all the engineering teams are good people and amazing to work with.

Cons

Super toxic upper management that doesn't care about employees. Large layoffs earlier this year, then employees forced to take unpaid furlough time to make up for a shortfall, then a successful round of VC funding followed immediately by more layoffs.

Pros

Some of the people I met were kind humans that cared about the work they did

Cons

- Hire duplicate roles under different departments making it impossible to understand who is leading what - The target audience does not want Indigo's product offerings and Indigo has no idea how to clearly solve that - You will never be able to execute an idea that is beneficial for the business - Too many stakeholders - Once you get laid off, Indigo will not submit the necessary paperwork to the state you live in to actually receive unemployment benefits - The culture is miserable. No autonomy. Endless Zoom calls only for the sake of hearing yourself or other team members talk. Everything feels like a waste of time.

Pros

Competitive pay, decent benefits, great co-workers

Cons

No clear direction of the business, everything told to you by upper management is all smoke and mirrors with an HR tagline, and the company drastically changed goals every quarter. I was excited about the mission when joining this company, even drank the cool-aid. However, the quicker you realize much of it's a farce, with no substantial business, the faster you can move onto another company.
