Pros

Lots of opportunities to change jobs and try on . Pockets of good culture within the wider organisation. Employee benefits include cheap access to cars, or totally within package if management.

Cons

Archaic and time consuming processes with no resourcing to improve on them. Market is very unfavorable at the moment and is putting a high amount of pressure on the business in terms of resourcing. Inchcape chronically underpays (20% below market) and overworks their staff. Expectation is that you will work unpaid overtime and come in on weekends. If you're lucky you'll get an occasional day in lieu. Awful culture - Management is demanding, ungrateful, and not at all transparent in how they operate. Wider business is all too happy to avoid taking responsibility for their own work. Certain individuals are "untouchable" and overly compensated for doing very little at all.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience working with us. At Inchcape we want everyone to feel empowered to take the lead on their development, we therefore encourage seeking learning opportunities which you can track within your learning dashboard on iLearn (iLearn is Inchcape’s personal online learning and development portal, designed to give our colleagues a quick and easily accessible way to complete our mandatory training to ensure you are fully compliant to work here.) Inchcape have recently made changes to some of our networks in order to support our strategy, of being the ‘World’s most trusted automotive distributor and retailer’, to create density of representation in key market areas so we can operate more efficiently. Inchcape set themselves a 100 day challenge which we hope will fundamentally improve our performance as a business by reducing how much money we spend by 10% before the end of 2019. We hope to continue to work with you in 2020 and welcome you to discuss your ideas and concerns with your line manager and higher.
