Pros

Great benefits package and possibilty to work from home if you know the right people in the organization, otherwise they will make up every excuse to keep it from the employees, even though it is a company policy.

Cons

Management is clueless which makes an Otherwise enjoyable job miserable... The more incompetent the manager the more incompetent the people they hire.

Pros

- Okay salary and bonus - 6% granted pension after working there for 5 years - Mid level managers are very flexible when it comes to working from home, sick time, and vacation schedules. - Great work life balance - Great tuition reimbursement plan (if you use/can use it)

Cons

- Huge Egos - Huge layoffs - Utterly incompetent management - Exorbitantly greedy senior management - Extremely bureaucratic - Completely subjective yearly reviews (I've been on both sides of that subjectivity). - Eons behind the times when it comes to: + Organizational structure (hierarchical / functional as opposed to flat / customer oriented) + Technology (no salaried employee I know of believes in the benefits of relational databases over mainframe flat files, waterfall, BRUF development is the mantra, programmers know and love JCL/SAS/COBOL and don't want to switch, less than 1 in 10 IT people in the organization are even familiar with a programing language, framework, or software methodology created in this millennium). + Proper compensation + Supply chain management (partnering with fewer, but higher quality suppliers, valuing collaboration over contract negotiation, etc)
