      From Bad To Worse

      Pros

      Some flexibility in schedules, although make no mistake, you pay for the flexibility in the end.

      Cons

      I worked for Quintiles for over 10 years, and it used to be a great company to work for. Then, the company pulled their infamous switcharoo - going from private to public - and everything went downhill fast. No concern about quality service or company morale....for now. When the stakeholders pockets are nice and fat, and they go back private, I'm sure it'll be a nice place to work again.

      Good internal promotion and mentoring. Highly varied work with the opportunity to learn outside of job scope.

      Cons

      Low salaries compared to other sectors and a heavily structured promotion path that does not encourage specialists. There are no processes in place to share internal knowledge.
