      A good atmosphere with many opportunities to climb the ladder, but very heavy workload.

      Pros

      Great growth opportunities. Good atmosphere, without micromanaging. The managers get along well with the employees, and there are many opportunities to get involved in interesting projects within the company.

      Cons

      The pay is low, especially when compared to the other companies in the industry. Quintiles does not reward employees for taking the initiative or performing better than other employees, which results in being "burnt out" after taking initiatives and not getting recognized. The workload is extremely high, making it impossible to deliver to all clients in a timely manner.

      Pros

      Opportunity to be working again, while searching for a "better" company with stability. No voicemail success stories required. Not required to sign a contract committing oneself to a specific length of employment. (You can quit as easily as they can terminate the contract, and management knows it.) Health insurance, Health Enhancement pay, meaning if you pay X amount for gym membership, submit paperwork, and they will pay you an additional X for your gym membership. I'm about to look into a yoga class.

      Cons

      Using a "time card", submitting all receipts, for expenses, finite contract which may be terminated at any time, no stability.

      Pros

      Excellent benefits including reimbursement for personal computer purchases. Worldwide presence and a wide variety of opportunities. Good working conditions.

      Cons

      As a large global company, Quintiles maintain a massive corporate bureaucracy that at times seems self-serving in that certain business practices do not seem to add value for its customers. Too many VPs - top heavy. They also love meetings.
