Pros

- the people make the company and coming into work every day great - this was a huge factor after my positive interview experience with multiple teams - onboarding is seamless and involves many deep dives with cross functional teams, everyone made me feel comfortable to ask questions as a new employee - still new but the culture and work environment seems good, emphasis on positive environment but it is clear that things get done - great location by the caltrain station, commuter benefit, fully stocked kitchen

Cons

- lack of matching for 401k - lack of full gym benefits like some other companies

Pros

- Great overall culture. You'll be working with a lot of very smart and hardworking people. It's a great place to get exposure to both the tech industry and the beauty industry. The company has grown tremendously in the past few years and has still a lot of growth ahead. Good benefits and a very strong HR team that takes care of making improvements every year (recently added 401K contributions!)

Cons

Less upward mobility in certain teams. Certain changes are very slow to happen (or cannot happen until very long periods of validation through data and A/B testing) which can make it a bit slower to react than its competitors. However, this risk-averse attitude is probably why IPSY has great financials and is very profitable. Certain teams are much more overworked than others. The company has grown so much over the past few years - there are pockets of very different cultures and atmospheres between the New York, San Mateo and LA offices.
