Pros

Still fairly flexible with time off.

Cons

Incometant management. Supervisors have no clue what their employees do. Because of this, when decisions are made they are ofthen the wrong ones which ends up costing employees rework and additional time to complete items that were once simple.

Pros

New hires begin with 3 weeks of paid time per year. Work schedules are generally flexible. Requests for vacation time are rarely denied. On site fitness center (gym) with good assortment of equipment.

Cons

The company now mandates that 1 of the 3 weeks of paid time off given per year is used during an office closure between Christmas and New Year's. Medical benefits are decent, but outrageously expensive, nearly $100 per person every two weeks. Bonuses have been essentially reduced pennies on the dollar. Management does not promote from within. Management will perform large scale reduction in force layoffs with zero notice to employees. There has been an significant uptick in outsourcing development and testing; most new positions with the company are in China. Heavy investment on upper and middle management, no domestic investment in engineering staff.

Pros

-Alright benefit package -Flexible on time off -On-site Cafeteria - Free Coffee ... Hard to find many pros anymore. I've worked for the company for several years and have seen many of the "perks" positive environment that would make me put in the extra 10+ hours a week and inspire me to give 110%, disappear.

Cons

- Siloed to a point that it's down right hilarious - and how many times do we have to changes signs and move an entire studio because it is being "re-structured"? - Studio concept, great idea for potential innovation, lack of communication outside of the silos, not so much. - Promotions are inconsistent and given for strange reasons. I have never seen whole departments move up one complete level before... - Internal pay structure for promotions is a joke. Change a level and you are roughly limited to roughly a 3% increase, which might not even put you in the correct pay level for the job. Outside highers for the same position can and usually are paid much higher than internal promotion candidates. -So many great ideas are created by individuals but get stuck in the bureaucratic red tape chain of upper management.
