Dreadful -- This Company Simply Doesn't Care (and it shows)

Pros

I am able to educate my peers and director, which teaches them how they should be conducting their jobs. Most do not know how to write a proper sentence.

Cons

Absolutely dreadful workplace environment! The Company does not value employees and is terrible at evaluating talent. They simply do not care -- you are just a number at IGT -- there is no concern about employee morale, development or growth. The CEO just cares about her fancy airplane (which she forgets is the company's .. not her personal limousine). You can work here for years and years without ever seeing the CEO or most C-levels. They dont care about the workforce and are disinterested in the gambling industry (and decisions flow accordingly). Curmudgeons and dolts abound in my department unfortunately. I do not recommend this company.

Human Beings ARE The Bottom Line

Pros

Flexible hours as long as you are producing. Salary and benefits are good. Nice gym as well as a health and wellness program. There are many incredibly talented, creative and intelligent people who work at this company.

Cons

Employee morale is low and of zero concern to executive management. The knowledge of consistent impending layoffs has reduced motivation, innovation and productivity. Overworked in an atmosphere of fear has increased negative CYA behavior that makes it difficult to be efficient. Layoffs are usually followed by the hiring of new Vice Presidents. Executives are focusing on the online gaming world while not supporting EGMs. There is a clear disconnect between executives and the people making the products.

Pros

Comradery, most coworkers are talented and good people to work with. There are patches of management and executives who are also talented and good people. You can easily move around to different departments.

Cons

Dramatically shrinking benefits, constant layoffs, outsourced employees producing extremely low quality work, and all departments are so strained for resources that you will likely be doing their jobs during business hours and only be allowed to do your work after hours.
