Pros

Good work/life balance most of the time Compensation is fair. Hybrid working opportunities. Good benefits and package on director or above level. Helps to be Italian.

Cons

Work/Life balance takes hit due to sudden requests from senior management that could've been planned ahead, but for one reason or another are requested within a couple of hours turnaround. Be prepared for your compensation to stay at the same level as it was when you joined, despite changes to role and responsibilities. Pay rises are managed on a group/function level and if your boss doesn't fight for your pay rise, you're not getting anything. Hybrid working opportunities are depended on your line manager. However the default expectation is for you to be in the office regardless if your role requires it. Company is strong believer of vitality curve performance management, although recently there has been less firings. No official process to give feedback on upwards management, which makes it very easy for managers to hide and not act on feedback. Employees are expected to grade themselves and the people you manage on a monthly basis. Certain roles and levels seem to be limited to people of Italian heritage. Lack of goals and targets or communication from top management. Complete lack of independence even on quite senior roles, expect to have top down decision making even on minor things.

Decent job terrible management

Pros

Decent vacation time Okay pay Considering the other entry level jobs out there. This one is okay just as long as you don't mine the poor management.

Cons

Micromanagement (seems like all departments have the same issue) Management is incompetent Unreasonable expected job task completions Undermines the nature of the job that will lead to you falling behind based on their expectations. Hard to move around or up unless you are willing to move out of state or country. Pay is stagnant They look at our department as the expense rather then a core contributor to how the company functions.
