If you are young and want to learn IT and various other skills then it might be worth it to deal with all of the cons associated with this position, everyone else should move on and find other things to do with your life.

Cons

Tedious background checks to start with. Long time poor management (recent upper management firings for favoritism non-withstanding) lead to depressed morale, envy, and anger. Pay is low until you can make the right impressions or play the game well enough to move up and hopefully out to another department.

Good benefits, very good place to work, friendly work environment, the schedule is very flexible and you have the chances to make a lot overtime if you want
