Not bad job for students

Pros

Easy job to obtain, especially if you are young (very high turnover of staff). Easy enough job for students.

Cons

Lower level employees were not treated well or paid sufficiently so there is a very high turnover of staff. Supervisors give little to no training or direction, and with too many new employees, this was disastrous. Supervisors don't do much (spend day chatting with customers) and then blame employees when things aren't getting done. Supervisors cause problems and mistakes and then leave them to be fixed by cashiers who are already busy with customers. Management can be unfriendly which made it a hostile environment to work in.

Pros

Best reasons is that it's a great grocery store, somewhere proud to work. Good experience on cash. Privately owned so they are all very different.

Cons

Learning all the codes. Cash supervisors too young. Never told you when you did things right, only wrong. Miss communication with management all the time.
