Pros

Great coworkers! The Madison site is an essential business that manufactures products such as probiotics and dairy cultures (used for cheese and yogurt production). The work is challenging but the crews are great to work with. There is also an R&D/administrative building on site. There are sometimes opportunities to transfer between departments if you are interested (production, operations, QC, shipping, R&D, Q&FS, etc.). The site used to be DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences and merged recently (February 2021) into IFF.

Cons

There were some hiccups early after the merger but things seem to be getting settled now.

Pros

IFF did an incredible job during the pandemic and was very adaptable to the corporate climate. They even used the opportunity to pilot different work strategies that provide employees better flexibility where they work.

Cons

It is a hard company to get into. They often promote from within.

Pros

Good Pay is available. Time off is available. Benefits are available. Large company (Global). Uniforms Provided.

Cons

The Company has aligned itself with BLM and has a socialist/ communist flavor added to the decisions made effecting it's employees. Social media is scanned for anything that does not align with these views. HR is seemingly non-existent unless hiring or firing. Training for employees includes social engineering skills. Management is not very transparent. Benefits are being eliminated or scaled back. Insurance is expensive.
