Bullying and intimidating HR culture in India

Past 3 years local HR was highly political and used all dirty means to dominate and retaliate the employees: fabricated anonymous hotline complaints were registered by HR against the employees whom they don’t like or the people who are not abiding , pretty much HR themselves investigated those complaints and delivered the judgement to reprimand the people. selective rumours by HR about targetted employees were floated to humiliate them. Nepotism and favoritism for selected few encouraged. By HR bullying , manipulating some Loyal, Long serving and harmless employees were either destroyed or silenced successfully. high level of corruption Is prevalent in recruitment. Few key positions were filled through heavy kickback by all unethical means in the past 3 years. Today very strong toxic culture is prevailing in India thanks to these misconducts.

I am IFF

Pros

IFF is starting to look into the future and I really like that. In my 22 years the number of opportunities I've been given has been far more than I ever thought possible. I can't say enough of the people, the managers but also our industr mix of art and science. I am seeing a huge push from the company to enable more training, I also see a change in management coming out and meeting with us. This is so important because in the plants we don';t get any face time with upper executives.

Cons

I heard they are working on this so for now it ain't a cons, but I am looking forward to the study they are doing to see if there are other benefits IFF can provide to enable more condensed workweeks.

Eye wash policies and no walking the talks

Pros

Excellent policies on paper, hyper probagation about different policies

Cons

Clear double standard on sexual harrasment complaint handling. All efforts are put to cover up the select few. No seriousness or genuinity in investigation . Only focus was to protect the company from lawsuit and not care about the victim or justice. Powerful persons can walk away . The general rule is “Just because someone accuses someone does not mean it’s true. There are people who will say anything to get attention”. Don’t get surprised if there are some #metoo stories breaking out from this company soon, because you can’t suppress the voice of victims too Long.
