Pros

I was at ICON for over 9 years. It's a solid CRO and they work hard to ensure benefits are attractive to the employees and fair across the company. Salary is good and work life balance is fair. Solid CRO and among the top for caring and keeping good talent.

Cons

Career progression can be tough, they have realigned jobs and titles such that it took away some of the esteem of being a manager or director at higher levels. Upper management tends to only listen to management versus worker bees, tough when they are outta touch of what the workload is and how they bid projects; puts the teams at a disadvantage to be profitable, especially in preferred partnerships.

Pros

Managers and colleagues are pleasant to work with.

Cons

Days on-site =8.4 days per month, is used as standard for resource allocation. If you don't meet this, it means you are not loaded enough and you will be allocated more projects or sites to achieve this global target. It does not include time spent on travel. Imagine you got sites all inter-state versus someone having all sites in the home state, you may still be regarded not busy enough if you don't hit 8.4 days on site on average
