      Not the place to be

      Pros

      None that I can think of, management does not care about staff no matter what they say. Talk is chaep and so is IBM. No career coaching no performance reviews excpet once a year with is basically sign it or leave! Absolutely disgutsing everything is a fire drill and must be done right away at management discretion. Projects are mismanaged and the stuff always rolls down hill, partners never do anythign wrong and simply perform a fly by and expect everything to run smoothly. Comp plans are heavily weighted to partners and staff get the crumbs if anythign at all.

      Cons

      Getting to the right source for an answer. It is so large that at times it is impossible to get an answer! It is important to get to know people that can help your career along within IBM. Since it is such a large company you could get lost in the masses.

      Pros

      wide variety of opportunities with out having to change companies. You are limited by your desire to pursue more. Compensation is fair when factoring all fringe benefits.

      Cons

      Big company rules & regulations. Possible to get lost in the 300k employees. If you like the freedom of a small company where sometimes you are running around like a chicken with your head cut off but doing a lot of different things, then IBM probably isn't for you.
